The challenge to capture the dynamic of
sports in an image constitutes a lot of the
fascination of this area of photography.
On way to solve the problem is to freeze
the action of the athlete in a static instable position. The so created image gives
the viewer time to observe the apparently
impossible.
On the other side, an unusually long exposure shows traces of the movement in
the image and gives in this way an impression of the progress. It is not unusual, that the close-up of an athlete offer
emotion and dedication in an extent,
which is hard to find in other areas of
human life.
The sports images at this site are developed from different motivations:
